Inebesei Yoga Studio

My name is Cyril Uruwei Garcia. I am the founder of INEBESEI Yoga Studio – a Health & Wellness studio dedicated to helping others become more capable in every realm of being a human being through self-healing techniques.

As a teenager in high school, I always had an intense passion to share my knowledge and imbibe from those who know more. In other words, personal development has always been my life-passion. I was raised in a Garifuna home in Dangriga Tow, Belize, by a hard-working mother who thought me to get a lot done with very little.

Immediately after graduating high school, I ventured into Rastafarianism, which I faithfully practiced for eight years, and then denounced the practice, and became an avid student of the bible. Something was still missing.

After relocating back home to Belize from the United States, I was first introduced to Mindfulness meditation by my brother, friend, and mentor, Jeremy Enriquez. About two years later, after observing my consistency of practice, Jerry recommended that I participate in a 10-Day Vipassana Meditation course, which I did at the Southwest Vipassana Meditation Center in Kaufman, Texas. As part of the strict requirements for this course, all participants had to take a vow of noble silence for ten days. No doubt, that course proved to be transformative for me as I learned the importance and power of self-purification by way of self-observation.

In addition to continuing my practice in meditation techniques, I also included yoga (asanas) as part of my daily practice. I practiced yoga (individually) for five consecutive years. As I continued my yoga practice, I noticed significant changes in my mood, my ability to think clearly, increased strength and mobility; and the ability to better control my thoughts and emotions, among many other benefits. Since then, I’ve been determined to pass on my knowledge to all that are willing, despite their financial and/or social status.
